Story of the orphan girl

​Shaarav opened the door with his sleepy and tired eyes on Sunday afternoon as he heard someone knocking the door.

A girl of about ten years age stood alone outside the door with a letter in her hand.

"What do you want?" Shaarav asked as she tried to handover letter to him.

"No, No I can't give anything" he said and tried to close the door but the girl resisted.

Lot of beggars in Pune begs using a letter which had some sorrow life story of them or family members and ask people for help. Shaarav thought it is the same scam and tried not to fall for it.

He subconsciously took the letter from girl and started reading it-

"The orphan girl carrying the letter is deaf and dumb and is student of some school. She needs 2500rs for school fees"The letter had school headmaster's signature and seal. It also had donors list and signature at its bottom.

The little girl with letter in hand touched Shaarav's emotional chord overcoming his logical thoughts which always pointed to scam as he decided to help her. 

He tried to make different hand signs which were influenced by DD news for deaf, to ask the girl about the location of school and where she stays.

She partially understood and replied using hand signs that she stays in hostel.

Shaarav looked at the donor's list to gauge the approximate amount he can donate and made up his mind to donate 100Rs.

He went inside, took money from his pocket and carried a new soap which he thought the girl could use, came back and gave money to the girl.

The girl asked him to enter his name and amount in the donors list, which he did.

Girl took the letter from him and smiled to indicate a Thank you and ran to next door.

Shaarav with satisfaction and feeling proud of himself closed the door and suddenly realized that he didn't give the soap. He opened the door in hurry and called the girl who was already about fifty meters away without realizing that the girl was deaf.

To his astonishment, The girl turned!!!
